RHINO TREKKING

Rhino trekking is a key activity at the ranch and can last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the location of the rhinos. The white rhinos are free to move over an area of 27 square miles within the sanctuary. The activity is available from 07:00 am to 5:00pm and starts with a safety briefing. Tourists usually drive with their ranger to the area where the rhinos are and then continue to trek on foot to explore the southern rhino territory. This experience not only gives you adventure but also a chance to enjoy the white rhinos in their natural habitat. The park entry cost includes the rhino trekking activity.
SHOE BILL TREK

Shoebill trekking is another fascinating activity at the ranch. The trek begins at 6:00am and ends at 9:00am, therefore tourists need to sleep at the accommodation in the ranch in order to catch up with this early morning activity. The guide briefs tourists before the activity and then leads them to Lugogo swamp for the shoebill trek. The magnificent shoebill, also known as the whale-head stork is one of the most sought after birds in the world.
