Day 1: Transfer from Goma International Airport.
Upon arrival at Goma International Airport, a representative of Rosamy Africa Safaris & Travel will welcome you and begin the transfer to Virunga National Park Safari Lodges. Depending on the client’s interest in lodges, dinner, and overnight at either Mikeno Lodge, Bukima Tented Camp, or Kibumba Tented Camp.
Mikeno Lodge is the best luxury lodge within the Virunga National Park. We do recommend this lodge to top luxury clients who want a classic overnight. Recommended for those wishing to visit the orphanage gorillas.
Bukima Tented Camp: This is the mid-range accommodation that is located in the jungles of Virunga National Park, and it’s the best for clients who are going to trek the mountain gorillas.

Day 2: Memorable Mountain Gorilla Trekking
As the earlier dream is coming to reality today and that is gorilla trekking in Virunga National Park Congo, after warm breakfast at your accommodation.
Head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations, after which you will enter the jungle forest to search for the endangered mountain gorillas, which are the best primates to be seen in the Virunga massif.
During the gorilla trekking activity, you will have one hour watching the primates, including seeing them playing with their young ones, as well as feeding them in the wilderness of the African tropical forests. Dinner and overnight at either of the above accommodations.
Day 3: Climb Nyiragongo Volcano.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred from the lodge to Kibati station, the Nyiragongo briefing ground. The Number of travelers allowed to trek Nyiragongo is 24 pax. The Nyiragongo trek begins at 9:00 am, using 6 stopping points to explore changing Virunga vegetation and old lava flows.
Start the walk through an impressive rain forest, the climb continues on the lava eruption fissure, and reach the summit. Have the whole evening to enjoy the view from the crater and watch the lava inside. Dinner and overnight in the shelter at the crater.

Day 4: Descend from Nyiragongo Volcano.
Nyiragongo breakfast is always served between 5:30 am and 6:10 am, as you start to descend the hill.
Reaching the base, your guide will welcome you and transfer you to Lake Kivu lodge for lunch. Afterwards, you will proceed to take the speedboat to Bukavu.
Bukavu is the second-largest tourist city in eastern Congo; consequently, it is more organized and arranged compared to Goma. Dinner and overnight are at Orchids, Hotel Begonias, and Exodus.

Day 5: Lowland Gorilla Habituation Experience.
Early morning Transfer to Kahuzi-Biega National Park. After the park ranger briefing, trek to see the lowland gorillas. Transfer back to your hotel after trekking the Eastern Lowland Gorillas.
Day 6:Departure
