Kampala City Tour: Day 1
Our guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport and drive you to your hotel for relaxation. Head out for a brief city tour of Kampala, starting with Kabaka’s Palace to explore Buganda’s rich cultural heritage. Proceed to Gadaffi Mosque and later Namugongo Martyrs Shrine to explore religious significance in Uganda. Experience a relaxing evening and dinner at Ndere Cultural Center: the hub to Uganda’s diverse culture. Enjoy a night of entertainment including traditional dance performances, poetry and skits. Return to your hotel and recharge for your safari to North western Uganda.
Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch: Day 2
Wake up early for a hearty breakfast at your hotel and proceed to your mind-blowing 6 Days Murchison Falls Safari. Transfer to Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch in Nakasongola via Luwero. Check in at your hotel for relaxation and lunch and later proceed for a rhino trekking adventure. This activity can last between 1.5-2.5 hours. You’ll head in with a well trained ranger into the territory of Southern white rhinos for a trekking experience.
Shoebill trekking and a Game Drive: Day 3
Head out with a local guide for the 6:00am canoe ride through Lugogo swamp, for a shoebill trekking experience. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the swamp and sightings of the iconic shoe bill stork. These sightings can go up to 4 hours, depending on the location of the shoebills. You’ll also be able to view various species of birds such as the African fish eagle, grey crowned crane, kingfishers, herons, Abyssinian hornbills and so forth. Return to your hotel for lunch and check out.
Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park for an evening game drive, a great opportunity to view the nocturnal animals such as the lions and leopards. Check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Boat Cruise and Murchison Falls Hike: Day 4
Day 4 offers a breathtaking cruise on the Victoria Nile in Paraa, lasting up to about 3 hours approximately. This boat cruise gives you a close-up view of the Murchison Falls, Hippos, Nile Crocodiles as well as other animal species along the river bank.
Proceed to the top of the powerful Murchison Falls with a hike. This incredible show will reward you with sightings of rainbows, birds, scenic views. You’ll also be able to view the Baker’s Point and the Devil’s Cauldron. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Chimpanzee Trekking: Day 5
Begin your adventurous day with a briefing from an UWA guide and proceed to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee trekking. This experience can last up to 3 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees. You’ll spend an hour with the chimps, experiencing their ways of life in their natural habitat. Various bird species and primates such as the white and black colobus monkey are also a common sight during the trekking . Return to your hotel for relaxation.
Game drive and Zip lining: Day 6
Start your thrilling day with an early morning game drive in the Buligi Circuit, popular for its rich biodiversity. This 7km route leads you through the northern sector of the national park that has a high density of wildlife. These include the Rothschild Giraffes, wildebeests, elephants, warthogs, Jackson’s wildebeests, zebras, oribi, lions, leopards, various birds and so much more.
Proceed for the thrilling zip lining and canopy walk at Sambiya River Lodge. This experience gives you a great view of the iconic scenery. Have lunch and transfer to Entebbe International Airport, with lots of great memories.
