Working alongside a professional wildlife veterinary team. This deeply moving and educational encounter directly supports the survival of one of Africa’s most endangered and iconic animals.
Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg and fly to Hoedspruit
our luxury safari begins immediately! You will arrive at OR Tambo (JNB) International Airport and make your way to board your included flight to Hoedspruit (HDS). Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, your dedicated game ranger will meet you for your private transfer to the luxurious Kapama Southern Camp.
You will arrive at the lodge and be greeted by your guide. He/she will introduce you to the wonderful staff that will be looking after you over the next few days. You might want to freshen up before lunch, after which you will have time to relax at your leisure.
Later, your ranger will meet you for afternoon tea before you set off on your first exhilarating Big Five game drive to find some of Africa’s iconic wildlife. As the beauty of the African bush lies in its unpredictability, every moment is an adventure! Furthermore, sundowners and snacks will be scheduled at a stunning location in the bush, ensuring you can enjoy the magnificent African sunset. Following the sundowner stop, a short night drive will commence, utilizing spotlights to search for some of Africa’s elusive nocturnal animals.
Day 2: Rhino Conservation Experience
Prepare for an unforgettable, deeply impactful morning! We will meet you before sunrise for invigorating coffee and snacks before you board your private vehicle to head out and find the rhinos. Before departure, you will receive a full safety briefing and a concise explanation of rhino poaching and the crucial efforts being made to stop it.

Upon arrival at the site, you will witness the swift, professional darting of a rhino by a highly trained team, consisting of a wildlife veterinarian and our expert crew. Furthermore, you will get up close to one of Africa’s most iconic animals and actively assist in vital conservation activities:
Safely maneuver the animal into a secure position.
Monitor the animal’s crucial vital signs.
Assist with drilling and inserting horn microchips or performing total de-horning, if necessary.
Apply necessary medication and ointments.
Cut ear notches for long-term identification purposes.
Record important measurements, including horn length, shoulder height, and body length.
Once all the essential data has been successfully recorded, the rhino will then be safely re-mobilized. Finally, you will return to the lodge, carrying with you the profound experience of directly contributing to wildlife survival.
Day 3: Full day at Kapama Southern Camp
our ranger will gently wake you up very early for your exhilarating morning safari. You can choose to stay and enjoy a relaxing morning at the luxurious lodge.
Sunrise Safari & Relaxation
During the morning drive, you will stop in a secluded spot in the bush to savor a fresh cup of coffee. Snacks will also be served while you chat about the morning’s incredible sightings. Upon your return to the lodge, a hearty breakfast will be waiting for you. Spend your mid-day relaxing: take a dip in the refreshing pool or indulge in a restorative spa treatment.
Evening Game Drive & Gourmet Dining
Later, after meeting for our delightful afternoon high tea. We will head out for another exciting game drive to discover what thrilling wildlife encounters await in the African bush. As evening approaches, sundowners and snacks will be scheduled at a breathtaking bush location. This allows you to enjoy the magnificent African sunset. Following the sundowner stop, a short night drive will commence. Utilizing spotlights to search for some of Africa’s elusive nocturnal animals. You will then return to the lodge, ensuring you have enough time to freshen up before a superb dinner prepared by the executive chef is served.
Day 4: Fly out
Your ranger will gently wake you up very early for your final morning safari though you can certainly choose to stay and enjoy a relaxing morning at the lodge instead. Before you head out, you will enjoy invigorating coffee and snacks.
Last Drive and Brunch
During the morning drive, you will stop in a secluded spot in the bush to savor a fresh cup of coffee and snacks while you chat about the morning’s sightings. Upon your return to the lodge, a hearty brunch of your choice will be served.
Once you have checked out. You will be swiftly transferred to Hoedspruit Airport (HDS) to board your included return flight to Johannesburg (JNB), concluding your luxurious Kapama safari.
