Day 1: Nature Walk In Mabira Forest & Boat Ride on Lake Victoria

Our Driver guide will pick you up from your hotel, either in Kampala or Entebbe, and you’ll begin a scenic 3-4 hour journey east to Jinja. About an hour into your drive, you’ll reach Mabira Forest for an exciting nature walk..

You’ll set out on a 2-hour nature walk into the forest reserve and enjoy an up-close encounter with an array of wildlife, including monkeys, birds, trees, butterflies, etc.

After a beautiful hike under the trees for about 2 hours, you can choose to take on the Canopy Super Skyway zip-line adventure high up in the tree tops. You’ll cruise through trees and feel like a monkey – it is quite a thrill!

The zip-line gives you access to the inhabitants of the forest canopy, such as monkeys and birds, which are not easy to see from the ground.

After the Mabira Forest tour, get back on the road and drive to Jinja for your lunch.

Jinja is a town on the shores of Lake Victoria. This lakeside town is famous for being the historic source of the River Nile and, more recently, for developing into the adrenaline capital of East Africa.
