Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival At Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by our representative from Africa Safaris Tours, who will be holding a cardboard with your name on it. He/she will ensure a smooth transfer to the hotel of your choice for an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2:Kampala City Tour

Wake up early in the morning and meet your tour guide for a trip briefing. Your journey will start with a tour of the Buganda Kingdom, where you will learn about its rich culture and tradition.

You will begin this tour in the Royal Palace in Mengo; thereafter, you shall go to Kasubi tombs, where you will see the burial grounds of the past Kings of Buganda.

Stop by Namirembe Cathedral, Uganda’s oldest Anglican church, for a panoramic view of Kampala city center.

Stop by any restaurant of your choice for lunch or take a packed lunch to the beautiful Baha’i temple (only one in Africa) and have lunch in their scenic Gardens.

Later in the afternoon, take a drive to Jinja town and eat dinner, and overnight at the lodge of your choice.

Day3:Transfer to Jinja

Wake up early in the morning and take a drive to the source of the Nile for a morning white water rafting experience. This activity is run by an experienced team who will ensure that you have a fun-packed day.

After lunch, take a Jinja town tour where you will learn about the history of the native people and visit the beautiful gardens. Later that evening, take a drive to Mbale town. Dinner and overnight at the lodge of your choice. (Food and Breakfast)

Day 4: Trekking in Sipi Falls

Wake up early in the morning after your delicious breakfast and embark on your 4-hour hike to see the three Waterfalls situated at the foothills of Mountain Elgon.

On your hike, you will see several plantations like the Arabica Coffee plantations, Sugarcane, as well as Matooke.

After your hike to the falls, enjoy the magnificent views of the Mountains as well as distant plains.

Your starting point is from Crow’s Nest (a camping and lodging site that organizes community projects and trains local guides). Lunch will be packed for you. Return to Jinja town for dinner and overnight at the lodges of your preference.

Day 5:Transfer Kasese-Mount Rwenzori

Get up at sunrise and take a drive to Mt. Rwenzori in Kasese, located in the Western part of Uganda, and arrive by evening. Stop by a restaurant on the way for lunch and continue to the Bundibugyo district. Dinner and overnight at the lodge of your choice.

Day 6: Tour And Hike Mt.Rwenzori

Experience the unique trek in Mountain Rwenzori. This Trek starts at 8:30 from Kyanjiki, 12 kilometers from Kasese town, where you will meet your tour guides for a briefing.

You will then walk up the Nsuranja Valley towards Kalalama Camp to a rock shelter known as Musenge Rock Shelter at 2,240 meters, a distance of 6,2 kilometers from the Rangers post.

The walk is a steady climb through Pristine Forest with a multitude of birds, as well as Chimpanzees scampering off if you are in luck.

However, you will see Chimpanzee nests high up in the trees, made of branches interwoven to form a nest.

The Chimpanzees use these nests for several weeks, then move on when the season for fruiting trees is over. The main attraction in these forests is the wide variety of plant species.

Your hike will end at around 3 pm, and you will return to your hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park

Get up at sunrise and start your journey to Uganda’s most visited national park. You will have a slight game drive experience on your way to your lodge.

After lunch at the lodge, enjoy a two-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, where you will get the opportunity to see several birds and animals by the shores.

An evening drive to the crater lakes is fascinating. Tasty dinner and overnight at the lodge of your preference for food and accommodation.

Day 8: Transfer to Kyambura For Chimpanzee Tracking

wake up early and watch the sunrise on the beautiful plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park as you take on a morning game drive.

On this adventure, you will see several animals such as Elephants, Lions, buffalo, Warthogs, Antelopes, and many other animals.

After Lunch, drive to Kyambura Gorge for a forest walk to look for the habituated Chimpanzees and many other primates.

This Gorge is about 16km long in the rift valley and 100 meters deep. you will be briefed by experienced rangers, and walking sticks will be provided to aid in the tracking.

After this enlightening experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Wake up early and have a delicious breakfast, and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector. At Ishasha, you will go on a morning game drive where you will spot the famous tree-climbing lions.

Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an amazing Gorilla experience. Check into your lodge of preference for dinner and overnight.

Lodges such as Buhoma Community Rest Camp, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, Silverback lodge, and many other lodges.

Day 10: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable 

Early Morning, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before you enter the Gorilla sanctuary of Bwindi Forest.

The rain forest is spectacular as it offers a dramatic, heavily forested, and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, making it easier for tourists to access.

This park is best known for the fascinating mountain Gorillas, where the time taken and terrain vary according to the movements of the majestic primates.

The thrill of spending time observing these animals’ daily activities is an exciting and rare adventure.

The Gorillas are peaceful creatures that can easily be aggravated, but you will be briefed by your tour guide on how to behave around these enormous animals. After this amazing experience, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11:Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi

After Breakfast, take a trip through Kabale, known as the Switzerland of Africa, and enjoy the beautiful terrain as well as breathtaking views. Stop by the fascinating Bird Nest lodge that has splendid panoramic views of Lake Bunyonyi for lunch.

Take on an afternoon boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi and enjoy the exciting myths behind each of the fascinating Islands on Lake Bunyonyi. Return to your accommodation of preference for dinner and overnight.
