Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Arrive in Tanzania for your amazing travel exploring this land. On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your lodge by a representative of African Safari Tours.com
Depending on the time of arrival, visit the local markets in Arusha town and stop at a local restaurant for a Tanzanian Local dish.

Day 2: Transfer To Tarangire National Park
Wake up early in the morning, leave the lodge after breakfast, and drive to Tarangire National Park in the Manyara region for an adventure safari game drive. The park, covering an area of 2850 square kilometers, runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.

Day 3: Game drive in Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up and drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive, Non-residents pay 53 USD while East Africans pay for entrance fees in Tanzania shillings (TSH) Game drives at the park can be either in the morning or evening hours depending on the visitor’s preference.
You will return to the lodge for hot lunch and a siesta. At 1600, you leave with the Masai Warrior for a nature walk around the area. You can encounter wild animals such as zebras and antelopes. You will then return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you leave the lodge and drive via Ngorongoro crater heading towards the Serengeti National Park, leaving the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. En route, you will visit a Masai Boma where you will get the chance to see the Maasai performing their traditional dances. You may even get a chance to join in.
You then head to the central park area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species like the big cats, the great migration route of the wild beasts, wildlife species.
Day 5: A day’s game drive in Serengeti National Park.
On the 10-day Tanzania Holiday Safari, spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti plains. You will rise early to enjoy an early morning game drive. At sunrise, you may encounter animals grazing in the beautiful light of sunrise, and predators may still be busy hunting before retiring to rest for the day. Sunrise on the Serengeti is not to be missed, and extraordinary photographic opportunities will abound at this magical time of day. You have the option to return to your accommodation for a hot lunch or to opt for a packed lunch, which can be enjoyed at one of the various picnic sites found in the Serengeti. After lunch, you will continue on a game drive. Around the time of dusk, be on the lookout for lions.

Day 6: Take a tour along the Mara River
On the sixth day of the 10-Day Tanzania Holiday Safari, you wake up early and depart with your packed breakfast and lunch and drive further to the Mara River, where you will find,, along the way, groups of wildebeests moving towards the river or congregating along the river waiting for their time to cross. The wait to see them crossing is like waiting for a baby to be born, and everyone is alert. It is also the time for the monster crocodiles to wait for their meals after almost a year-long. We will spend our day there in the Mara River area.
Kindly note this is for August, when they are crossing to the Masai Mara. Any other time, you will have a game drive, but no guarantee of crossings to the other side.

Day 7: Transfer To Ngorongoro
After a delightful breakfast at your lodge, you’ll check out and begin a scenic drive from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Karatu. This journey takes you through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands, a truly captivating region. You’ll witness a dramatic shift in landscape, from the open plains around the crater rim to rolling green hills, lush montane forests, and fertile farmlands.
As you descend from the highlands, the air becomes warmer, and the scenery transforms into a vibrant patchwork of agricultural fields. Karatu is known as the “safari capital” for its proximity to the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, but it’s also a significant agricultural hub. Keep an eye out for vast coffee plantations that dot the landscape, their neat rows of bushes contrasting with the wilder bushland. This varied scenery offers a glimpse into local life and the rich agricultural bounty of this region, providing a pleasant and picturesque transition from the wildlife-filled crater to your next stop.

Day 8: Game drive in Ngorongoro crater
After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up for the drive to the Ngorongoro crater. Once you’ve checked in, you’ll descend 600 meters into the crater for a full day of game driving. The crater boasts a year-round water supply and abundant fodder, supporting a vast array of animals. You’ll spot herds of wild beest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and the magnificent Giant elephant, African elephants. later visit Lake Magadi large alkaline lake in the south-western corner.

Day 9: Cultural Immersion in Karatu & Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, you will have the morning to experience cultural activities in Karatu, including a chance to enjoy the local cuisine, after which a driver guide will transfer you to Arusha for the afternoon, about a 7-hour drive.
