Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park, Uganda.

On the first day of the trip, you will be picked up from your hotel or from the airport. Meet and greet your driver safari guide and embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park through stunning vegetation cover with plenty of attractions. Upon arrival at the park, you will be rewarded with a different view of fascinating primate species since the forest harbors over 13 species, like the chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkey, and so many others. Later, check into your lodge for dinner and rest

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale & connect to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda

Chimpanzee trekking & connecting to Queen Elizabeth National Park: After an early morning breakfast on day 2 of the 14-day Grand East Africa circuit, pack some snacks, drinking water, and be transferred to Kanyanchu, where a briefing about chimpanzee trekking will be conducted. After the briefing, hire a porter and be led into the forest to search for the habituated troop of chimpanzees in their habitat. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest takes approximately 2-5 hours. Upon finding the Chimpanzees, you will spend about 1 hour taking photographs and interacting closely with them. Exit the forest and be returned to your lodge for lunch. Relax at your lodge for a few hours, then check out and be driven directly to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive & afternoon boat cruise-Uganda

Game drive and Boat cruise in Queen: Enjoy your breakfast early morning on day 3 of the 14-day Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania), then be driven to Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a fascinating game drive to search for several mammals that thrive in this savanna park. Embarking on a morning game drive is a gratifying adventure, as most mammals are highly active in the early hours. Be sure to spot as many animals as possible, including Elephants, buffalo, Hippos, Uganda Kob, Leopards, waterbucks, and many more.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch, then head to the Kazinga Channel for an afternoon boat cruise to watch a huge population of Hippos and other aquatic wildlife.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mutanda – Uganda

After breakfast on the 4th day of our 14 Day East African Circuit, check out of the lodge and be ready for a drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Lake Mutanda, situated in the southwestern part of Uganda. Along the journey, you will be in a position to view the stunning rolling hills of Kigezi, beautiful vegetation cover, and much more.

Lunch will be enjoyed en route, and upon arrival, you will check in to your lodge and spend your evening at leisure, ready for the next day’s safari adventure and tracking the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early morning breakfast, get ready for a fascinating encounter with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. you will start your trek with briefing from an experienced ranger, after which you will be led into the forest through different trails in search of these gentle giants. The trek usually lasts 2-3 hours, depending on the movement of the gorilla, since they are used to roaming the forest in search of food.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali, Rwanda

Drive to Kigali: After breakfast on day 6 of 14 days Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania), check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver for a drive to Kigali, Rwanda. While in Kigali, you will take on a city tour exploring different Genocide Memorial Sites that were put up to keep the memory of several Rwandese who perished during the 1994 Genocide. If time allows, you will also explore craft shops, shopping malls, and many more attractions within Kigali city.

Day 7: Fly to Nairobi & connect to Masai Mara National Reserve-Kenya

Fly to Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara: After breakfast on day 7 of 14 days Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda &Tanzania), check out of the lodge and be driven to Kigali international airport to catch a flight to Jomo Kenyatta international airport Nairobi where you will be welcomed by our Kenya guide ready to take you on a thrilling experience with in Kenya. He will introduce himself to you and drive you to Wilson airport to catch a domestic flight to Masai Mara, where you will be welcomed with an Aerial view of the stunning savanna park that harbors plenty of wildlife species. Upon landing, you will be welcomed once again and transferred on a game drive to encounter mammals as they graze freely within the reserve. The Masai Mara is a famous destination in Kenya, most especially for the annual Great Migration, where thousands of animals converge and migrate according to rain patterns.

Day 8: Full day excursion in Masai Mara National Reserve-Kenya

Full day wildlife viewing safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve: have breakfast served at your lodge on day 8 of 14 days Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania) and head out for an entire day wildlife viewing experience with Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will enjoy a fascinating game drive amidst several wildlife species. You may choose to pack lunch or return to the lodge for lunch during lunchtime. Amongst the wildlife to look out for during a game drive in the Masai Mara national reserve include: Wildebeests, Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, Elands, Zebras, and several species of birds, among others. If you visit from July to October, you will be rewarded with a view of the Great Migration.

Day 9: Full day excursion in Masai Mara National Reserve – Kenya

Full day wildlife game drives in the Masai Mara: On this day, 9 of 14 days Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda &Tanzania), you will spend another day exploring the Masai Mara to maximize the number of animals seen. Wake up for an early breakfast just like the previous day, then meet your safari driver once again for a full-day excursion to different parts of the park.

Day 10: Fly to Arusha, Tanzania

Fly To Tanzania: Enjoy your breakfast on day 10 of 14 days Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania), then head out for brief game drive to wind up with the remaining parts of Masa Mara national reserve after which you will take a domestic flight to Wilson airport in Nairobi where you will have lunch then be driven to Jomo Kenyatta international airport for a flight to Kilimanjaro airport in Tanzania. Upon landing at Kilimanjaro airport, you will then be picked up by our Tanzania representative directly to a hotel for check-in, dinner, and overnight sleep.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Manyara National park-Tanzania

Drive to Lake Manyara national park: On day 11 of 14 days Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania), wake up for breakfast at your lodge, after which you will check out of the lodge and be driven to Lake Manyara national park, where you will enjoy a game drive to spot tree climbing lions and other park dwellers. Have a walk to Mto WA Mbu village to interact with the local community members and visit their projects.

Day 12: Transfer to Serengeti National park-Tanzania

Drive to Serengeti National Park: Enjoy your early morning breakfast on day 12 of the 14-day Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania), then check out of the lodge and be driven from Lake Manyara National Park to Serengeti National Park, one of the best parks in Tanzania. The park thrills with endless plans that harbor several wildlife species seen while on a game drive adventure. The park rewards travelers with a chance to spot wildebeests on a migration, depending on the season and time of visit.

Day 13: Game drive and proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area-Tanzania

Game drive in Serengeti National Park: After breakfast on day 13 of 14 days Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda &Tanzania), check out of the lodge with a packed lunch box, then meet your safari driver for a game drive in the park as you proceed with your journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. While in Ngorongoro, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 14: Game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater and depart from Tanzania

Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater: On day 14 of 14 days Grand East Africa circuit (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania), have an early breakfast and descend into the crater for an early morning gam drive in the world’s largest caldera. The crater thrills with a lot of attractions, including both wildlife as well as the locals living harmoniously together. After the game drive, return to the lodge. Depending on your flight details, you may enjoy your meal at the lodge and be transferred back to Arusha.
