Day 1: Transfer To Kitgum town
Embark on your journey at 6:30 am from Kampala, as you drive north toward Kitgum town, the perfect overnight stop before reaching Kidepo Valley National Park. This extensive, 8-hour drive occupies the entire day, so enjoy a roadside lunch complemented by your choice of two sodas or a beer. Furthermore, bottled drinking water is provided in the vehicle to ensure you stay hydrated. Throughout the trip, make several stops to capture stunning photos and stretch your legs; this long transit is essential, as the park’s distant location has remarkably preserved its pristine wilderness.

Day 2: Drive To Kidepo National Park

Day 3: Full day Wildlife & Cultural immersion
Following a wonderful breakfast, you kick off your day with a fascinating game drive. Explore the diverse terrain and unique wildlife of this remote region. You drive through savannah grasslands, dry riverbeds, hills, and small forests, where you spot iconic animals like buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, lions, and cheetahs. Day 4: Guided Nature walk
Begin your day with another delightful breakfast, serenaded by the beautiful melodies of birds singing in the trees. Immediately following your meal, you set out for an immersive guided nature walk. This intimate experience provides tangible proof of how it feels to be deep within the wilderness, surrounded only by wildlife, sweeping savannah grasslands, and scattered forests.
Subsequently, you return to the Lodge for a rewarding lunch. Afterward embark on an afternoon game drive. Day 5: Transfer To Sipi Falls
Following breakfast, you depart from Kidepo and begin your journey to the stunning Sipi Falls. You enjoy lunch en route, and consequently, you arrive at Sipi Falls Lodge in the afternoon, which overlooks the spectacular falls. This lodge is a high-class, yet realistically priced facility that offers excellent food and breathtaking views. Day 6: Mountain Elgon Hike
After breakfast, you drive to Mount Elgon National Park. On arrival, a variety of exciting activities await you for a full day of exploration. Depending on your physical fitness, you can choose to enjoy mountain biking along the park’s trails. Alternatively, take a guided nature walk, or even try exhilarating paragliding and birding. Since these activities will occupy your entire day, you set out with a packed picnic lunch to enjoy amidst the mountains.
As you explore, you will be stunned by the different, beautiful vegetation zones that blanket the mountain. Alternatively, you can opt to absorb the wonderful views of the scenery. Day 7: Visit Sipi Falls & Back To Kampala
After your delicious breakfast, embark on a captivating morning nature walk to the magnificent Sipi Falls.
